EnergyGlass™ is a patented, nanostructured product, process, and formulation enabling fabrication into 100% optically clear, vertically installed, electricity-producing glass used in place of traditional architectural glass. EnergyGlass™ is a structurally and mechanically sound architectural glass product first. EnergyGlass™ also produces 2-4 Watts per square foot, per hour, of continuous energy from sunlight, diffused light, ambient light, and reflectance light to power the building. The entire surface of the glass is clear - no grids, dots, or lines.

EnergyGlass™ by design was created to maintain efficiency across a multitude of specifications and configurations utilizing the five (5) core components that determine window efficiency regardless of the specification or configuration. EnergyGlass™ by design makes provision for optimal U-Factor, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC), Visible Light Transmittance (VLT), Air Leakage, and Condensation.

 EnergyGlass™ uses inorganic nano particles that are co-infused in a polycarbonate interlayer, which is then laminated between two lites of 1/4" inch glass. The nano particles redirect components of the light spectrum to the edge of the glass while letting most of the spectrum through. The light that reaches the edge of the glass is collected and sent to our patented edge frame collectors. Because our edge collectors are at the edge of our glass and fit inside of the photovoltaic curtain wall framing system, they are protected and do not suffer degradation from infrared radiation (IR) light as typical solar cell installations do. 

The flexibility, versatility, and interchangeability of our interlayer (varying thickness), coatings, and bonding films enables EnergyGlass™ to maintain efficiency across a multitude of combinatorial specifications.
